To further boost its hybrid mode of work, IT major Infosys on Saturday opened a new development centre in Nagpur by pumping in over Rs 230 crore.The 2,65,000 sqft facility, located in the Mihan-SEZ in Nagpur, Maharashtra, will provide greater flexibility to employees to work in hybrid mode and facilitate reskilling and upskilling of local talent, said the company in a filing with BSE.
The new centre can accommodate over 3,000 employees and is aligned with Infosys’ future-ready hybrid workplace strategy, added the company. Nilanjan Roy, chief financial officer, of Infosys, said, “This is a part of our commitment towards continuous innovation. We believe that this centre will contribute to the growth of businesses, create direct and indirect job opportunities, promote sustainability and ecosystem development, and give an impetus to local and global businesses.”
