Greenko partners with BITS Pilani WILP; aims to empower its working professionals

Greenko Group, a key player in the energy storage and transition sector, has joined forces with the Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) division of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani. This collaboration aims to offer continuous education opportunities to Greenko’s workforce. Professionals within the company can select from a variety of degree and certification programmes available through BITS Pilani WILP, focusing on engineering, technical, functional and management domains, according to an official release.

Aligned with its Employee Professional Advancement through Continuous Education (E-PACE) policy, Greenko aims to support and sponsor its personnel in enrolling for relevant degree and certification programmes offered by BITS Pilani WILP. The selection process for these programmes will be systematically managed by BITS Pilani WILP, ensuring a structured admission process for Greenko’s chosen employees, the release mentioned.

Additionally, Greenko claims to employ cutting-edge technologies to replace fossil fuels, promoting sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions. Within this context, many of its professionals specialise in key areas such as quality and manufacturing management, design and process engineering and engineering technologies. Recognising the expertise and higher education opportunities provided by BITS Pilani WILP in these fields, Greenko claims to find substantial value and a natural synergy in collaborating with WILP, as per the release.

“Greenko’s efforts to replace fossil fuels with sustainable carbon free energy assumes special significance in the light of the nation’s commitment to net zero emissions by 2070 and the recent COP 28 declaration. We look forward to working with Greenko in developing and delivering suitable education programmes for their employees, and also support their efforts in research and development to help enhance the pace at which the transition to green energy sources occurs,” G. Sundar, director, off-campus programmes and industry engagement, BITS Pilani, said.
