Vidyakul aims to help in access to smartphones and internet to remote areas through Sankalp Yatra

Vidyakul, an edtech platform has launched Sankalp Yatra 2024 initiative that aims to build Digital Study Rooms (home-based e-classroom setup) in 500 villages across remote areas in UP, Bihar and Gujarat, as per the official announcement.

Platform claims that this one Digital Study Room per village will replicate an offline classroom setup and will include physical elements such as table, chair, white board, smartphones with six months of internet recharge and free access to Vidyakul’s e-learning program via its App.

Platform further claims that under this edition, the aim is to support 500 academically promising students from financially marginalised backgrounds across 500 villages. These students do not have access to adequate resources but have academic prowess. Digital Study Rooms will be built in the confines of the homes of these selected students.

“Coming from a rural background and experiencing educational challenges first-hand, we wanted to impact the lives of students of Bharat, empower them and provide them with equal opportunities. As part of the Sankalp Yatra campaign, we have witnessed exceptional results, with our students topping the board exams and enrolling in top-tier universities across the country. This is a testament to our belief of opening up possibilities for every student across Bharat and giving them a better future,” Tarun Saini, co-founder, CEO, Vidyakul, said.
