USA-headquartered lithium-ion battery company C4V has signed an MoU with Hindalco Industries for development and supply of battery-grade aluminium foils, coated foils and structural components for li-ion cells, to serve the fast-growing market for EV battery materials.
As per the understanding, Hindalco will provide up to 2,000-tonne of battery foil to C4V, over a 5-year period. The agreement alsooutlines a strategic roadmap encompassing collaboration on materials and joint technology development, aligning with the evolving demands of the Indian EV market. This multifaceted approach promotes local manufacturing and expertise and is expected to strengthen India’s self-reliance in EV battery technology.
C4V has already established partnerships in India with Omega Seiki Mobility and Simple Energy. It also plans to set-up manufacturing facility in the country for its advanced EV battery.
